The story behind NVX’s two-face graphic tee.
After my kids fall asleep, I sometimes take my skateboard to the park. Thirty minutes is enough. The wheels roll, the breeze hits my face, and I feel that familiar joy of doing something simply because I love it.
That feeling became the starting point for Smile & Silence.
Two Faces, One Self
I’m a father, a husband, and someone people count on at work. There’s happiness in those responsibilities—in solving a problem, seeing progress, or watching my children sleep peacefully. There’s exhaustion, too. Often, they arrive together.
The overlapping faces capture that experience. A smile can express happiness, pride, or the courage to keep going through a difficult day. Silence leaves room for tiredness and feelings we haven’t found words for yet.
Both belong to us. Sometimes we need a quiet moment to understand what we’re feeling and what we need.
A Small Spark of Blue
White artwork stands against the black tee, with a blue star adding a small burst of energy. It represents the interests that keep us connected to ourselves: skating, music, making things, or whatever we enjoy without needing a reason.
The design pairs a small chest graphic with a larger back print. Made from 320 GSM, 100% cotton, the tee has an oversized fit and dropped shoulders, with room to move and unwind.
Wear It Your Way
Loose denim and sneakers keep it casual. Cargo pants bring a different shape; shorts work for a relaxed skate. The black base lets the graphic stand out while leaving the rest of the outfit up to you.
Those thirty minutes at the park help me return home feeling lighter. They also remind me why I started—and to keep making space for something I love.
